If your bathroom is dated, the vanity is usually what dates it. A cultured marble top from the nineties, a particleboard cabinet that has swelled at the base, and a bathroom reads old no matter how clean it is.

We remodel bathrooms across Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles — vanity countertops and cabinetry, measured on site and installed by our own team.

Bathroom countertop and cabinet project by EE Kitchen & Bath

What we do, and what we don’t

We would rather be clear about this up front than waste your time.

We handle: vanity countertops in quartz, granite, marble, quartzite and dolomite; bathroom cabinetry and vanity units; on-site measurement; fabrication; and installation. We also work on utility rooms, laundry rooms and mudrooms — anywhere a cabinet and a countertop meet.

We don’t handle: tiling, plumbing, electrical or fixture installation. If your project needs those, you will want a general contractor alongside us, and we are happy to work in with one.

That scope is why we can quote quickly and install in two to three weeks. It is also why we are usually more economical than a full-service remodeler for a bathroom where the layout is staying put.

Why quartz is the usual answer for a Baton Rouge bathroom

A bathroom in this climate is the hardest room in the house for a countertop. Shower humidity sits in the air, older homes ventilate poorly, and water pools around the sink.

Quartz is engineered and non-porous. It never needs sealing, will not absorb water, and gives mildew nowhere to establish. In a Louisiana bathroom that matters more than in almost any other room. Our quartz starts at $50 per square foot installed for 3cm Tier 2.

Granite and marble are natural stones and are porous, so they need periodic sealing. Both are perfectly workable in a bathroom if you will keep up with it — and marble in particular is beautiful on a vanity, where it sees far less acid than a kitchen counter does.

2cm pre-fabricated tops are worth asking about for a vanity. Spans are short, so the extra rigidity of 3cm is not needed, and pre-fab is a genuinely economical option. We go through the tradeoffs in our guide to choosing countertops for Baton Rouge humidity.

Cabinetry that survives a Louisiana bathroom

The door is what you look at. The box is what fails.

The cheapest ready-to-assemble cabinets use particleboard boxes, and in a humid bathroom they swell from the bottom edge up — usually within a few years. Our cabinets are birch, a hardwood, with soft-close doors and drawers as standard.

Door styles run from white shaker through raised panel to darker timber and gray finishes. You can see every door style here, or come and open them in the showroom, which tells you more in five minutes than any photograph.

How it works

  1. Call us, with or without measurements, and describe the project.
  2. Free on-site measurement — anywhere within an hour of Baton Rouge or

Lake Charles, at no charge.

  1. Choose your slab. With natural stone this matters; photographs flatten

veining, and no two slabs are identical.

  1. Complimentary 3D layout if cabinetry is part of the job, so you can see

the room before anything is ordered.

  1. Fabrication and installation, typically within two to three weeks.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a bathroom vanity replacement take?

Fabrication runs from the day we template, not the day you order, and typically completes within two to three weeks. The install itself is usually a single day for a standard vanity.

Do I need to replace the cabinet to replace the countertop?

No. If the vanity cabinet is sound and the layout is staying, the top can be replaced on its own. If the box has swelled or the doors are failing, replacing both at once costs less than doing them separately later.

What is the most durable bathroom countertop?

Quartz, for a bathroom specifically. It is non-porous, so standing water and humidity do not affect it, and it never needs sealing.

Do you work on commercial bathrooms?

Yes — we handle reception areas, breakrooms and commercial washrooms alongside residential work. See commercial countertops.

Can you match a countertop to cabinets I already have?

Usually. Bring a door or a clear photograph in good light, and we will find slabs that work with it. Choosing the slab to suit the cabinet is far easier than the other way round.
