We don’t handle: tiling, plumbing, electrical or appliance installation. For a kitchen that is moving walls or relocating services, you will want a general contractor, and we will work alongside them.

Start with the countertop
Cost, durability and maintenance all follow from this choice, and in Baton Rouge the humidity is a genuine factor.

Islands need a little more thought
An island is usually the largest single piece in the kitchen. 3cm is the safer specification for the rigidity, and if you are extending an overhang for seating it will need proper support underneath. Worth deciding early, because it affects both the template and the price.
Cabinets
Ready-to-assemble birch cabinets with soft-close doors and drawers as standard. Birch is a hardwood — it holds up in a humid Louisiana kitchen far better than the particleboard boxes used in budget RTA, which swell at the edges once damp reaches them.

The order things happen in
Getting this sequence wrong is the most expensive mistake in a kitchen remodel, and it is entirely avoidable:
- Settle the layout, including appliance dimensions
- Choose cabinets, then the countertop material
- Walk the slab yard if you are buying natural stone
- Cabinets installed and leveled
- Countertops templated against the installed cabinets — never from a drawing
- Fabrication and installation, typically two to three weeks
- Backsplash, then caulk

Can I keep my existing cabinets and just replace the countertops?
Yes, and it is a common and economical choice. The cabinets need to be sound and level — we will tell you honestly at the measurement visit if they are not.
